Preparing the grease gun prior to use

These are the steps you need to follow to prepare the grease gun for use:

·         Attach the nozzle or hose to the grease gun outlet.

·         Fill the grease depending on the type of grease gun you have purchased. The instructions will accompany the gun.

·         Before greasing, wipe the grease nozzle and the fitting. Pump the lever to remove the older grease that may be present.

·         You need to maintain the grease gun and check for any dirt and sand that may have accumulated in the lubrication inlet. You may also need to use force in case the grease has dried up.

·         Grease does not get discharged easily when the grease gun is new. In such cases, be sure to fully open or close the lever.

·         While attaching the new hose attachment, you may need a wrench to open the nozzle of the grease gun.
